Privacy Policy — BridgeLearn Practice

Last updated: 20 June 2026

BridgeLearn Practice ("the app", "we", "us") is an educational maths-practice app for children and their parents, made by an Australian parent. This policy explains, in plain language, what information the app does and does not handle. We have deliberately designed the app to collect as little as possible.

In short: The app has no user accounts and does not ask for your name, email, or phone number. Your child's progress stays on your device. We do not show ads, we do not use analytics or tracking, and we do not sell any data.

1. Information stored on your device

The app saves your child's practice progress and settings locally on your device only. This includes things like which questions have been attempted, which difficulty sets are unlocked, items pending parent review, and the parent review PIN you set. This information stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and is removed if you uninstall the app or clear its data.

2. Information sent for AI-assisted feedback

The app includes optional AI-assisted features (such as hints and parent feedback). When these features are used and your device is online, the text of the current maths question and the answer your child has typed are sent to our secure processing service in order to generate a response. This is used only to produce the hint or feedback and is not stored by us for any other purpose, is not linked to any identity (the app has no accounts), and is not used for advertising. If your device is offline, the core maths practice still works and these AI features are simply unavailable.

3. Information we do NOT collect

4. Children's privacy

BridgeLearn Practice is intended for use by children together with a parent or guardian. Because the app does not collect personal information or require accounts, it does not knowingly gather personal data from children. The parent review features (including a PIN) are stored only on your device.

5. Third-party processing

The AI-assisted features are delivered through a secure service we operate, which in turn relies on a third-party AI provider to generate responses. Only the question text and the typed answer are sent for this purpose, with no identifying information attached. No other third parties receive data from the app.

6. Data security

Progress data is held locally on your device. The limited information sent for AI feedback is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Because we do not collect or store personal information, there is no personal database for us to expose.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
